Since 2020, our students have been enrolled in mixed-form classes, where individuals from diverse backgrounds come together to learn from and with one another. Teachers employ differentiated instruction, collaborative learning and responsive assessment practices to support students with varying learning readiness. Learning experiences are designed to provide both appropriate challenge and timely support, enabling every student to progress confidently. Learning in mixed-form classes also develops empathy, respect and collaboration as students appreciate diverse perspectives and strengths. As they make informed decisions about their learning pathways, students build resilience, confidence and self-directedness.
For academic subjects, students attend lessons in subject-specific groups based on their readiness, strengths and learning needs and attend lessons for common curriculum subjects with classmates in their mixed form class.
For lower secondary levels, the common curriculum consists of Character and Citzenship Education, Design and Technology, Nutrition and Food Science, Art, Music, Applied Learning Programme, Learning for Life and Physical Education.
For upper secondary levels, the common curriculum consists of Character and Citizenship Education, Physical Education and FutureLearn Curriculum.
Due to our school’s experience as a Full pilot SBB pilot school since 2020, the school has established sound and effective processes to cater to different learner readiness and needs. As part of our total curriculum framework, the school offers strong socio-emotional support structures as well as programmes to ensure our students flourish and are oriented towards the future.
