The Total Curriculum Framework drives QTSS Curriculum, within and beyond
the classroom, driven by our belief that every Queenstownian is unique,
has the potential to grow, and wants to serve.
The school adopts a school-wide teaching approach – authentic content, student-centric pedagogy and balanced assessment, enabled by the use of technology; to design learning experiences where every Queenstownian plays an active role in acquiring the school values (R2ICE), 21st Century Competencies and Sustainability Literacy through a Learn, Do, and Reflect cycle.
Our school continues to deepen our commitment to engaged learning as a cornerstone of the Total Curriculum Framework. This educational approach ensures that every Queenstownian actively participates in meaningful, interactive experiences with real-world applications of knowledge and skills. Through our emphasis on collaborative learning, critical thinking, and experiential activities that align with E21CC competencies—particularly Adaptive Thinking and Communication—we maintain our student-centric focus whilst enhancing our teachers' skillsets in spatial awareness and e-pedagogy. The implementation of prototype classrooms that foster enhanced collaboration and communication further supports our vision of creating learning environments where Queenstownians can truly connect, collaborate, and create as they flourish as learners and leaders with future-oriented mindsets within our thriving community.
